About ToolsArena24 & how our tools work
ToolsArena24 is a set of free online tools for everyday file, text, color and code tasks. Each tool does one job – convert an image, count words, turn a hex color into RGB, hash a string – and does it inside your browser.
Our method
The ToolsArena24 team maintains these tools and their guides. Attribution identifies the site team; it does not claim an individual qualification or independent review.
- Files are never uploaded. Images, text and files are processed by JavaScript on your device. We never receive, store or log what you convert. The exception is the group of network tools (DNS, IP, SSL, HTTP headers, WHOIS, redirects, ping and similar checks): they must contact other servers, so the address you type is sent to our small API, which makes the request for you. The app keeps no search history, but the web server's standard access log can contain it.
- Standard algorithms. Hashes, encodings and color conversions follow the published specifications (RFC 4648 for Base64, FIPS 180-4 for SHA-2, the CSS Color specification for color spaces). Each tool page explains the method and gives a worked example you can check.
- Open libraries, credited. Where a format needs a specialised decoder (HEIC, TIFF, QR codes) we use a well-known open-source library, served from this site, under its original licence.
- Free, no sign-up. There is no account, no limit on use and no watermark on converted files.
How can I verify a result?
The last tested date on a tool records a passing automated check of its calculation function against a saved expected result. For example, #ff8800 converts to rgb(255, 136, 0), and the reverse conversion gives #ff8800. Numeric base tests include known answers, large integers and input errors. Try the worked example on the tool page and compare the output with the stated steps.
A test report is linked to the tool's definition and rendering code. Changing its instructions, input contract or calculation invalidates the previous report; rebuilding does not advance a test date. Without a matching passing report no test date is shown. These checks do not attest every browser, file format or live network service. In particular, a pure calculation check does not verify a remote API response.
Limits
Very large images may be slow on older phones, because all the work happens on your device. Some output formats (for example AVIF) depend on what your browser supports; the tool tells you when a format is not available.
